Magnetic mixing tank is also called magnetic mixer tank, What makes a magnetic mixing tank different from a conventional mixer tank is that the mixer uses magnets to move the impeller. This works by attaching one set of magnets to the motor driveshaft and another set of magnets to the impeller.
The drive shaft is on the outside of the tank and the impeller is on the inside, and they are only connected by the attraction between the two sets of magnets. A hole is cut in the bottom of the tank, and a cup-like piece called a “mounting post” is inserted through and welded into that hole so that it protrudes into the tank.
The magnetic mixing tank is widely used in pharmacy and biological industries.
